Biography
Hector Odhar (MacLaine) MacLaine of Lochbuie 9th is a member of Clan MacLaine of Lochbuie.
Hector inherited his father's lands in June 1612. He served as heir to his great-grandfather, Murdoch Gearr, in July 1615.
Alexander Maclean Sinclair, The Clan Gillean, 1899 suggests that Hector "had at least four children by her"[Margaret], Murdoch Mor, Lachlan Mor, Margaret, and Janet. The website Mull Genealogy lists those already mentioned plus three additional children: Allan, Mary, and Sarah.
