Biography

Eliza Jane Trickett was born on 20th September 1855 in Sydney, New South Wales (Australia). She was the daughter of George Trickett and Mary unknown. She was christened in the Holy Trinity (Garrison Church) Church of England, Sydney. ^[1]

Eliza married Frederick Sheldrick in 1881 in St Leonards, New South Wales. ^[2] Over the next seventeen years as they raised their family of three sons and three daughters, they moved to Murrumburrah, a twin town with Harden in the South West Slopes area of New South Wales (Australia), from there to Bell's Point, near Swan Hill, on The Murray River, to Cunninghame (now Lakes Entrance) and then to Temora, in the north-east of the Riverina region of New South Wales.

Aged about 83 years and having been widowed for ten years, she passed away in 1938 in Camden, New South Wales. ^[3] She was survived by her husband, who passed four years later, two sons and a daughter, children-in-law, and at least 23 grandchildren.
