Biography

Research Notes: Freeman granted April 16,1691 at Reading. Settled in West Parish area. Granted land in second division of town rights Feb 7, 1687. Area called "Woodend". House lot is on present Franklin St. Assessed 1 shilling 5 pence 1686 as part of town payment to local tribe for territory of Reading purchased some years previously for ten pounds but never paid (Eaton book p 32). Subscription 1688 of seven pounds for new meeting house.
