Biography

Ebenezer Spafard was born on August 26, 1777 in Lebanon, Windham, Connecticut to Nathan Spafard and Anne Cole^[1].

He married Lydia Wells on October 11, 1798 in Lebanon^[2]. They had four children:

1. Lucy Spafard born March 7, 1800 in Lebanon
2. Samuel Spafard born June 2, 1801 in Lebanon
3. Augustus Spafard born September 9, 1802 in Lebanon
4. Polly Spafard March 5, 1806 in Lebanon

He married a second time to Sophia Wilcox on January 11, 1829 in Lebanon^[3].

Ebenezer was elected into the Connecticut House of Representatives in 1834^[4].

Ebenezer died on October 20, 1861 in Lebanon, New London, Connecticut at the age of eighty-four^[5]. He is buried at Exeter Cemetery^[6].
