His father died while he was a child and the first Rebbe of Chabad, Rabbi Shnior Zalman of Liadi, gathered him to his home where he grew up and was educated. Our old rabbi gave it to his righteous rabbinic daughter Mrs. Deborah Leah, who died after a short time.
