Obituary

SKOWHEGAN -- Asa R Dwyer, 72, died at a Waterville hospital Wednesday (16 Oct. 1968) morning after a brief illness.

He was born at Orient Sept. 4, 1896, the son of George and Martha (Ferrell) Dwyer.

He was married to the former Maude Pelkey who died in November, 1965.

For the past four years, he had made his home with his granddaughter, Mrs. Rodney Thibodeau, on the Molunkus Road here.

Survivors include two sons, Lloyd of Waterville and Alvin Dwyer of Stoneham, Mass., a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Faulkner of Winn; two step-daughters, Mrs. Perley (Alma) West of Skowhegan and Mrs. Mabel West of Livermore Falls; three step-sons, Verdie and James Campbell, both of North Reading, Mass. and Gerald Campbell of Solon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Eban Dwyer and a sister Mrs. Ida Joslyn, both of Orient; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Nelson J Smart Funeral Home here with the Rev Aubrey L. Burbank officiating.

Burial will be in the Southside Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home here Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
