4-13-2015 -- Rachel Virginia Watson: I have confused Rachael Belinda Watson Hagler with Rachael Virginia Watson. Both were born in Tennessee around 1822, but RBWH lived until 1900 and is buried in Fannin County, Texas. RVW is doubtless buried in MS, but no record is found.
Jehu Stokely died probably in 1851, but the exact date is not known. Rachel remarried James Byrne in June of 1852. Bryne apparently died shortly thereafter and there is no record of children. Rachel married a 3rd time to William Matthew Beck in July of 1856. By looking at birth dates, we can surmise that they had two children together before Rachel's death sometime between 1862 and 1865 when WM Beck remarried (see below). The two children of WM and RV were "Uncle Johnny" John Joseph Beck who lived and died in Drew, MS, and Charles W. Beck, whose death date is so far unknown.
Charles W. is determined as the child of RV and WM by looking at the 1870 census where WM Beck is married to Clementine Lecevier (3/27/1865). Charlie, age 8, is living with them, making him born in 1862 when WM and RV were still married. Rachel apparently died between 1862 & 1865, maybe in childbirth.
