In the census of 08 Jul 1870 "Lory Adams," aged two, was the youngest of seven children living with her parents Joseph and Margaret Adams in Hamilton Township, Hamilton County, Iowa.[1] (The enumerator did mistake her for a boy though[1] - an easy mistake to make at a time when all young children wore dresses.)
Olive Adams, 11, was the fourth of six children still at home with her parents in the 1880 census of Hamilton township.[2]
She was widowed in 1943[4] and buried Nelson at Graceland Cemetery[4] in Webster City, Hamilton County, Iowa.

Laura died 23 Nov 1946[3][4] at 10:30 a.m.[3] in Hamilton County Hospital,[3] Webster City.[4] She had had surgery two days earlier for complications of her chronic myocarditi and arterosclerosis, She was laid to rest with Nelson on 26 Nov 1946[3] at Graceland Cemetery.[3][4]
