Biography

Lavern N. Cobb, son of and George Porter Cobb and Sarah (Clark) Cobb, was born in 1863 in New York.[1] He appeared on the census of 5 July 1870 in the home of his parents at Pomfret, Chautauqua County, New York.[2] He was a printer when he appeared on the census of 3 June 1880 in the home of his parents at Fredonia, Chautauqua County, New York.[3]

He married or at least had a relationship with Sarah Maude E. Howe, daughter of Lyman C. Howe and Sara Elizabeth (Horth) Howe, about 1884.[4] Their relationship ended before 1890. Herbert, the son of Lavern and Sarah, was identified in Lavern's obituary. [1]

He married Emma Ferch, daughter of Balser Ferch and Elizabeth (Hiscom) Ferch, about 1890.[1]

Lavern died on 17 June 1931 at Lakewood, Cuyahoga County, Ohio and was buried at Alger Cemetery, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. His memorial has a copy of his obituary and links to those of family members.[1]
