Petition to Grant No Letters of Administration

Moniteau Probate Court
To undersigned Wm. F. Jobe son and heir at law of said deceased, states that the said Abraham Jobe departed this life on the 27th day of February 1881 leaving surviving him his widow Clarinda Jobe and that the personal property belonging to deceased at the time of his death will not amount to as much to the affiant’s best knowledge and belief so the amount allowed by law to said widow, as her absolute property that said personal property consists of Household goods, one horse, one cow and calf, two sheep, on sow and six pigs, one ? which in this affiant’s judgment would not be worth more than one Hundred Dollars and that there is no debts against Estate except Eleven Dollars Dr Bill, and that this affiant is satisfied that no Estate would be left after allowing his mother her absolute property as provided by law therefore your petitioner prays and asks the court that no letters of administration be issued upon said Estate.
