Biography

Skeffington was the son of James Hamilton and Catherine Hamilton.

He was a Major in the army.

Skeffington married Katherine Salisbury Montgomery, daughter of Reverend Robert Montgomery of Beaulieu on 11 May 1812.

They did not have any children.

He died in 1830.

Death Notice - Saunders's News-Letter October 6, 1830

DIED, On the 1st inst. at his seat, Brandum, in the County Monaghan, Major Skeffington Hamilton.
