Ambrose was born out of wedlock on 4 April 1902 in Carlton, Victoria, Australia[1][2] the only documented son of Frances Victoria Brown.
Ambrose's biological father is not recorded on his birth registration. His paternal ancestry has however been identified through DNA testing. Please message Aaron Bowden if you would like further details.
Ambrose Henry Brown married Amy Evelyn Mary Roberson in 1926 in Cooma.[3] Ambrose and Amy had 9 children together.[2]
Their family resided in Moonbah near Berridale in the Eden Monaro region of southern NSW in the 1930s[4][5] before moving south of Wollongong in the mid-1940s.[6]
His occupation is listed as Labourer in the Electoral Rolls.[4]
He passed away on 27 March 1973 in Unanderra, NSW.[2]
