Richard Martin was born in 1813. He was the son of Richard Dane and Anna Auchinleck.
Richard Martin Dane graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, as a Master of Surgery (M.Ch.) and Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)
he served in the Royal Army Medical Corps.
Was later Inspector-General of Hospitals for Ireland.
Sophia Eliza Griffiths and Richard Dane were married 15th February 1844 in Allahabad, Bengal, India. [1]
They later lived in Killyhevlin, County Fermanagh.
He passed away in 1901 aged 87 years; burial : Southampton Old Cemetery, Hampshire, England. [2]
