Victor Vernon Egan was born on 2 January 1914 in Perth, Western Australia, to Christina Vernon, age 28, and Victor George Egan, age 33.[1]
He married Frances Margaret Harvey in 1941 in Fremantle, Western Australia.[2]They had 1 child together.
On 14 September 1943 he enlisted at Karrakatta and was posted to the 3 Aust Spec. Serv. Tng, Coy.
Victor was involved in a motor truck accident and succumbed to his injuries on 16 November 1943 in Hollywood Military Hospital, Western Australia when he was 29 years old. [3][4] He was buried in the Perth War Cemetery and Annex, Nedlands, Nedlands City, Western Australia, Australia.[5]
