Biography

William Kamp was born on September 22, 1880 in Golden Eagle, Calhoun, Illinois, United States, son of Andrew Kamp (1855–1947) and Catherine Toppmeir (1858–1925).

In 1900, William (19) was living in Point Precinct with his parents, Andy (44) and Katie (42); and his siblings, Mary A (17), Frank (15), and Henry (12). ^{[1] [2]}

William registered for the draft for World War I. ^[3], ^[4], ^[5]

In the 1910 census William (age 29) was the married head of household in Point Precinct, Calhoun, Illinois, United States.^[6]

In 1920, William (39) was living in Point Election Precinct, Calhoun with his wife, Lucinda (35); and their children, Muriel (13), Loraine (12), Flossie (11), Fay (8), Jone (6), and Ida (1). ^[7]

In 1930, William (49) was living in Point, Calhoun with his wife, Lucinda (46); their children, Fay (19), Ione (16), and Myra Jean (5); and Allen Graber (45, lodger). ^[8]

In 1940, William (59) was living in Point Election Precinct, Calhoun with his wife, Lucinda (55); their children, Ione (27), Myra Jean (16), and Joan (9); and his father, Andrew (85). ^[9]

William died on February 17, 1947 in Calhoun County, Illinois, aged 66.^{[10] [11] [12]}
