Ruby P. Nash MONROE -- Mrs. Nash, age 90, passed away on Thursday (March 1, 2007) at Hospice House II in Monroe. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday (March 3, 2007) at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Phil McLean, Reverend Albert Hinson and Mr. Ryan Nash. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Nash was born on April 19, 1916, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Hosey Hoyle Pressley and Annie Elizabeth Keziah Pressley. Mrs. Nash was a homemaker and was married to the late General Banks 'Doc' Nash, who passed on February 26, 2000. Survivors include her son, William H. Nash and wife, Gladys of Monroe; three grandchildren, Kathy Trull of Wingate; Randall Nash of Monroe and Gregory Nash of Monroe; five great-grandchildren, Patrick Trull of Monroe, Alison Alvarez of Monroe, Kristen Trull of Myrtle Beach, Ryan Nash of Monroe, Maegen Nash of Monroe; two great-great-grandchildren, Lily Grace Trull of Monroe and Landon Wilson Trull of Monroe. There are two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Mildred) Rorie of Monroe and Mrs. Furman A. (Christine) Neely of Fort Mill, South Carolina. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon (March 3, 2007) from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral ceremony at Davis Funeral Home in Monroe, 1003 East Franklin Street. Memorials may be made to Mountain Springs Baptist Church, 2509 Mountain Springs Church Road, Monroe, North Carolina 28112.
