Biography

This profile is part of the Hill Name Study.

James Hill was baptised in St Michael Rendham, Suffolk on 19 June 1765, son of John Hill (1733–1800) and Joanna Smith (abt. 1729–1820).[1]

In the 1851 census, James (age 88) was the uncle of John Hill in Easton, Suffolk, England.[2]

James's death was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1852 in the Plomesgate district.[3]

James Hill of Easton was buried in St Peter & St Paul Churchyard Pettistree, Suffolk on 6 February 1852, aged 89.[4]
