Biography
Jean Baptiste Klever was born on 09 March 1753 in Strasbourg, Alsace, France. He was the son of Johann Niclaus Kleber and Regina Bogart.
He worked as an architect before enlisting in the reovlutionary army in 1792, joining the 4th bataillon of volunteers of the Haut-Rhin department. He quickly rose up the ranks and became a general.
He was assassinated on 14 June 1800 in Cairo, during the campaign of Egypt.
