He married Sarah L. Besherse on 9 September 1896 in Jackson County, Alabama.[3] They were living in Jackson County at the time of the 1900 census, which showed they had been married 3 years and had no children.[2]
Dick Hill died in West Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama on 29 March 1952. His obituary named his widow, Mrs. Lucy Hill, but no children. It also named two sisters, Mrs. Ticie Fanning of Lone Prarie, Texas and Mrs. Katie Moore of Queen City, Texas.[4]
Research Notes
Census records show that he was born in Tennessee, most likely in Warren County, since that was where his parents married and were living in 1860 (see his father's profile for sources) and in 1870; the 1870 census showed him as 1 year old.[1]
His Find a Grave memorial says that he was born in Warren, Franklin County, Tennessee, but the obituary posted in the memorial says Warren County.[4]
