He married Mary Louise Betzing on 3 October 1946, in Rice, Minnesota, United States. He lived in Fairfield Township, Beadle, South Dakota, United States in 1930 and Le Sueur Township, Le Sueur, Minnesota, United States in 1950. He died on 16 May 2007, in Le Sueur, Le Sueur, Minnesota, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Ottawa Cemetery, Ottawa Township, Le Sueur, Minnesota, United States.^[2]
