Daughter of Emanuel Philip Weinschenk and Etta Matilda Booher.
In the 1920 census Ruth (age 8) was the daughter of E P Weinschenk in Lawrence, Pennsylvania, United States.[1]
In the 1930 census Ruth (age 18) was the single daughter of Etta Weinschenk in Shenango, Lawrence, Pennsylvania, United States.[2]
In the 1940 census Ruth (age 28) was the single daughter of Etta Weinschenk in Union Valley, Shenango Township, Lawrence, Pennsylvania, United States.[3]
Ruth married John Robert McFerren on Oct. 28, 1947 at the Savannah Methodist Church in Shenango Township, Lawrence, Pennsylvania, United States.
In the 1950 census Ruth (age 38) was the married daughter of Etta Weinchaimb[sic] in Shenango Township, Lawrence, Pennsylvania, United States.[4]
Ruth (born 30 May 1911 age 93) died on 16 December 2004 residing in Lawrence, Pennsylvania.[5] [6]
Ruth was buried in Savannah Cemetery, New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, United States.[7]

Lifelong Shenango Township resident Ruth Etta McFerren, 93, of 2064 Savannah Road died the morning of Dec. 16, 2004, in her home.
Born May 30, 1911, in Shenango Township, she was a daughter of the late Emmanuel and Etta M. Booher Weinschenk.
She married John Robert McFerren on Oct. 28, 1947. He died March 2, 1994.
Mrs. McFerren was a homemaker.
She was a graduate of Shenango High School and the former New Castle Business College.
Mrs. McFerren enjoyed baking and crocheting.
She was a member of Grace Bible Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel S. and Kathi McFerren of New Castle; two nephews, Emmanuel Weinschenk and John Weinschenk, both of New Castle; and a niece, Judy Shuler of Washington, Pa.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Weinschenk.
Calling hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. John Coomber, pastor of Grace Bible Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery.
