Emil Hintz, 56, Alden, Dies at Naeve Hospital

Emil August Hintz, 56, a lifelong resident of Mansfield township, Route 1, Alden, died yesterday at 2:30 p.m. at Naeve hospital.

Death resulted from lung cancer following two years illness.

He was born Sept. 24, 1900, at Mansfield township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Hintz. For the last 24 years he has lived on a farm near Alden.

He married Dorothy Behr Jan. 1, 1932, at the Pickerel Lake Lutheran church.

He was a member of the Mansfield Lutheran church and served for two years on the school board of District 92.

His wife survives. He is survived also by two daughters: Mrs. Merlin (Jo Anna Frange, Mansfield; and Helen, at home. A grandson, Steven Frange, survives.

Three sisters survive: Mrs. C. F. Kantz, Chicago; Mrs. Manville Pestorious, Albert Lea; and Mrs Milton Thitrand, Beaumont, Calif.

Two brothers survive: Orville, Minneapolis; and Delbert, Alden.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Mansfield Lutheran church with the Rev. George J. Feistner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family prefers donations in the cancer fund to other memorial gifts. Firends may call at Bonnerup and Son Funeral home Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.

The Emil Hintz farm was first owned by Henry Seedorf, and then by James Finley and then by WIlliam Hintz. Emil Hintz bought this farm in 1940. He married Dorothy Behr in 1931. They have two daughters Jo Ann and Helen. This farm is in Sec. 4. Mr. Hintz is chairman of the school board of District 92.
