Biography
Benjamin was born 29 May 1830 in Dixmont, Maine to William Young Tasker and Lydia Dodge. [1]
In 1850, the family was still living in Dixmont, Maine. Benjamin's father William was a farmer and Benjamin and his brother William were laborers [1] and on 30 Nov 1854, Benjamin married Almeda Dodge in Jackson, Maine. [2] No children have been found for Benjamin and Almeda.
In 1860, Benjamin and Amelda were living in Jackson, Maine. Benjamin was working as a farmer and there was a 14 year old Mary Tasker living with them. [3] The 14 year old Mary was no longer with them in 1870, but a 19 year old James Craig was living with them and working on the farm. [4]
In 1880, Benjamin and Amleda were living alone (still in Jackson), [5] but in 1900, they had their nephew Benjamin J Dodge living with them and working as a farm laborer. [6]
Benjamin passed away 7 Oct 1903 in Jackson, Maine from phithisis. [7] He is buried in Maplewood-Tasker Cemetery in Jackson, Maine. [8]
