Mary Ford ELLIS was born on 20 Jan 1810 in Statesville, Iredell Co. NC. She died on 26 Jan 1904. Jeremiah BURNETT and Mary Ford ELLIS had the following children:

Excerpt from Fayette County History:

“Wilson L. Burnette

Wilson L. and his family moved to Fayette County in 1849, along with a group of settlers from Iredell Co. NC. They settled in what is known today as the Jones Chapel Community, and spent their entire lives in that area. Here the family organized the old Burnette Chapel Church and school. In 1857, his father Jeremiah Burnette, gave him a farm, the land being a part of the original Burnette Plantation. In time, Wilson L. Owned 800 acres of land in Fayette County, and 960 acres in Northern Mississippi. The land in Fayette County was located on the Old Water Mill Road North West of Moscow. In 1866, Wilson L. Built for his family a beautiful old Colonial style home red sand brick home. The home is a fine example of Southern Architecture and it still stands today. He was a Democrat, and his family worshiped at the Jones Chapel Methodist Church through the years. Many of the family members are buried in the Church Cemetery. He entered the Confederate army in August of 1862, was first in Outlaw's Battalion; but soon joined General Forrest's forces in the fourteenth Tenn. Regiment of Cavalry. The Regiments Colonel was Col. Jack Neely. He served in many battles. His descendants are many; however very few of them live in Fayette County today.
