Biography

Mary was born in 1860. She was the daughter of George Moffatt and Mary Sampson of Ballygroogan. ^[1]

On 9 February 1893 at 3rd Cookstown Presbyterian, she married Robert Weir, labourer of Cookstown, son of John Weir. Witnessed by Isaac Lamont and Robert Moffat. ^[2] He passed away in 1897.

On 2 March 1907 at 3rd Cookstown Presbyterian, she remarried to John Mitchell, a widower of Claggan, Derryloran, who had two infant children. Witnessed by Robert Liggett and Jane Compton. ^[3]

She passed away 27 November 1952 at her residence, Lower Claggan, and is buried at Cookstown Cemetery. She left daughters and grandsons. ^{[4] [5] [6]}

Research Notes

"Daughters" in the memoriam notice might refer to Ethel, and her stepdaughter Annie Mitchell (1904-) ?
