Louisiana Families Project Logo
Joe Crouch lived in Louisiana.
World War II Project
Joe Crouch served during World War II.

Joe was born in 1917, the son of Robert Crouch and Belle Cole. Joe served his country proudly during World War II as a flight instructor for the B 24 Liberator. He declared that he was a VFW.....Veteran of Ft. Worth because he never left the United States. After the war, he began his sales career with Keller-Hyden in Ft. Worth. He and Lell moved to Pineville and he traveled the state as a sales representative for them. As life-long Methodists, Joe and Lell joined the First United Methodist Church shortly after moving to Pineville and served as active members on various committees and teaching Sunday school until failing health limited their involvement. They lived their faith and made sure their children had a firm foundation of faith also. Joe was known for his briskets and pie making skills which he shared with many over the years. He also loved golf and as Lell would say, it was never too hot, too cold, too wet, or too dry on the golf course. After a long career of traveling, Joe thoroughly enjoyed time spent with family and friends especially around the dinner table. He passed away in 2012 in Louisiana at the age of 95.
