Lillian Jessie Pont was born in the year 1881 in Maitland, New South Wales to Alfred Pont and Emma Green.[1]
in 1913, she was living in Newcastle, New South Wales where she was working as a housemaid.[2]
Lillian married Alfred Brickell on 2 Jan 1903 at St John's churchin Balmain, New South Wales.[3]
Unfortunately, the marriage did not last. She was in court on 26 Feb 1912:Lillian Jessie Brickell, formerly Pont, sought a dissolution of her marriage with Alfred Brickell, a coachman, on the ground of desertion, in the Sydney Divorce Court to-day. There was no appearance of the respondent. The petitioner ... said there were two children issue of the marriage, which was celebrated at St John's Church of England, Balmain. They lived in a cottage in that suburb for three years. Her husband was arrested and sentenced to a term of imprisonment. When he came out, he told her he was going to New Zealand, where he intended to make a home. He promised to send for her, but so far as she could understand, he make no attempt to do so. ... Her husband was indifferent, both to her and to the children.[4]
BRICKELL v BRICKELL. Mr. Fraser appeared for the petitioner, Lilian Jessie Brickell, formerly Pont, who sought a dissolution of her marriage with Alfred Brickell, on the grounds of desertion. The parties were married on January 2, 1903, at Balmain, according to the rites of the Anglican Church. Petitioner, in the course of her evidence, said that repondent got into trouble, and later went to New Zealand, since when he had failed to support here. His Honor reserved his decision.[5]
BRICKELL v BRICKELL. In the suit of Lilian Jessie Brickell, formerly Pont, who applied for a divorce on the ground of desertion from Alfred Brickell, to whom whe was married at Balmain on January 2, 1903, his Honor delivered judgment, finding both issues proved, and granting a decree nisi returnable in six months. Petitioner to have custody of the children and respondent to pay costs of the suit.[6]

Lillian married Bernard Dolan in the year 1913 in Sydney, New South Wales.[8]
Lillian Jessie Dolan died in the year 1934 in Drummoyne, New South Wales and was buried in the Sandgate Cemetery, Sandgate, New South Wales.[9] [10] She was 53 years old.
Her funeral was announced on 16 Apr 1934:DOLAN.---The Relatives and Friends of Mr. BERNARD DOLAN, of 48 Corlette-street, Cook's Hill, and Messrs. ERNEST and GARNET BRICKELL are kindly invited to attend the Funeral of his late dearly loved wife and their mother, LILLIAN JESSIE DOLAN, to leave our Mortuary Chapel, 28 Pacific-street, Newcastle. This (Monday) Afternoon, at 2.15 o'clock, for the Church of England Cemetery, Sandgate, via Newcastle Station.[11]
