Biography

Samuel was born to Samuel and Martha Fenn Newton in Milford on 26 Jun 1677.

Samuel married Phebe Platt in Milford on 29 May 1705.

Samuel Newton and wife Phebe were admitted to full communion in the church in Milford on April 1, 1711, the same day that their first two children Phebe and Samuel were (re-)baptized. [1]

Samuel and Phebe had, in Milford:

  • Phebe, bp. 25 Nov 1706, m. Joseph Woodruff, 1729
  • Samuel, b. 1 Aug 1710, m. Deborah Baldwin
  • Jonah, b. 20 Oct 1714, m. Phebe Platt (his first cousin)

Samuel died 26 Dec 1728, in Milford.
