Note
The Mallorys owned Washington Old Hall between the early 1400s and 1613. (From when "Sir William Mallory married Dionysia Tempest, the last Wessyngton heir at the Hall [and the] sale in 1613 was by Sir John Mallory and Anna Eure, investors in the Virginia charter; Sir John Mallory having been a descendant of Sir William Mallory and Dionysia Tempest.")

3. Book: Royal Ancestry by Douglas Richardson, Vol. IV p. 20 says, "Elizabeth, daught of William Hamerton, Knight" No Free Website: to look at . . .
These are 3 Completely different women from completely different fathers, The Question is who is Correct???? and Why????
Douglas Richardson author of the book Royal Ancestry. . .Does not give any history to who Sir William Hamerton, Knight might be. . .As I have done some research on line, Sir William Hamerton is not mentioned or connected with any other "Hamerton's. He seems to be a Mystery Man. . . I'm Wondering what Douglas Richardson was seeing and hope at some point he will write a book about this Man "William Hamerton, Kinght" and his family connections. in the his book "Royal Ancestry" Douglas only states, "William Mallory Knight of Studley and Hutton Converys, Yorkshire, son and heir of "Sir John Mallory, Knight of Studley, Yorkshire, by Elizabeth daughter of William Hamerton, Knt". There is no other follow-up or clue after, as Douglas usually does so well. So, I hope in the future there might be some follow-up.
I think April's comment that it's Isabel Hamerton who needs to be detached is in error?
Richardson's Magna Carta Ancestry and Royal Ancestry both support Elizabeth Hamerton as William's mother/wife of John. And Isabel is Latin for Elizabeth, right?
