- Dora Alma Phillips, 91, died at Penn Lutheran Village at 9:37 p.m. Friday, June 21, 1996. She had been a resident there since July 1, 1985.
- She was born at Richfield RR1 October 15, 1904, the daughter of the late William C. and Sarah E. [Swartz] Carvell. In 1932 she married Milton C. Phillips, who preceded her in death.
- She attended Swartz School, Richfield, and was a housewife. She was a member of Richfield United Methodist Church and the Queen Esther Sunday School Class of the church.
- She is survived by one daughter, Verna Phillips Fultz Bailor, Selinsgrove; two grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Minnie E. Carvell, Richfield RR1; and one brother, Ray J. Carvell, Richfield RR1.
- She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clair, Palmer and John, and two sisters, Mary Carvell and Mae Fisher.
- The funeral service was conducted Tuesday at Richfield United Methodist Church, with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Almon D. Baird, officiating. Interment followed at Goodwill Cemetery, McAlisterville RR2.
- Funeral arrangements were made by the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills.
