Biography

Michael was born in 1609. He was the son of Olaus Olai and Gunilla Erlandsdotter. He passed away in 1670.

*From Wikipedia entry (Sweden) Michael Olai Wexionius was the son of the Communist, later Oeconomus Pauperorum, Olaus Olai Angermannus, a farmer's son from Ångermanland , and Gunilla Erlandsdotter, a daughter of the church pastor Erlandus Petri, and brother of Olaus Olai Wexionius .

Wexionius studied in Växjö (hence the name) and Uppsala as well as four years in Germany and the Netherlands, supported by Axel Oxenstierna . He became a Doctor of Law in Marburg in 1637, Secretary to Admiral Carl Carlsson Gyllenhielm , Rector of Växjö 1638, Professor of History 1640 - from 1647 also in Law - at the newly established University of Turku. The aristocratic views of Wexionius in his dissertations made him an interpreter for being said to have greatly displeased both the king ( Karl X Gustav ) and the unruly positions. [ 4 ] Gyldenstolpe was married to Susanna Crucimontana, daughter of the priest Nicolaus Svenonius Crucimontanus and Malin Christophersdotter [ 6 ] . Of their twelve children, Nils Gyldenstolpe was elevated to free Lord and count.

Wexionius became a Doctor of Law in Uppsala in 1650. In the same year he was adopted and adopted the name Gyldenstolpe. He became an assessor in the Turku High Court in 1657, a member of the Law Commission in 1665, the district governor in 1667. Wexionius was a versatile scholar, whose teaching and authorship has been of great importance for the study of law and political science in Sweden. [ 3 ] Discursus politicus de prudentia is the first defense in Turku and the first printed book in Finland, and Epitome descriptionis Sueciae, Gothiae, Fenningiae, et subjectarum provinciarum , the first geographical and statistical presentation of the Swedish kingdom and long the only work man abroad had to resort to the conditions here. [ 4 ] His work Epitome descriptionis ... was created at Per Brahe's initiative. [ 5 ]
