John Alden (Pilgrim 1620) and wife Priscilla had issue David Alden, whose daughter Elizabeth Alden, md Deacon John Seabury, ( a grand- son thro’ his father Samuel, of Dr John Seabury of Duxbury, Mass..) issue Parson Seabury (father of Rt. Rev. Samuel Seabury: 1st Protestant Episcopal Bishop in America) whose daughter, Elizabeth Seabury, md Dr. Benjamin Tredwell (son of Col. Benjamin Tredwell of Great Neck , Queens county , Nassau Island , New York ) issue Samuel Tredwell, md 1st Helen Scrymgeoure Blair; 2nd Frances Lenox , daughter of Dr. Robert Lenox and wife Frances Lenox nee Pollock (daughter of Cullen Pollock and wife Frances West). Cullen Pollock was the son of Gov. Thos. Pollock (died in 1722) and wife Mrs. Martha West nee Cullen (died in 1700) widow of Robert West. Jr. (died 1689) and daughter of Thomas Cullen and wife - Thomas Cullen was a member of the Governor' s Council in 1670 (See N.C. Historical and Genealogical Record, Vol. I, No. 1, page 1351. Governor and Mrs. Pollock were interred at Bal-Gra on the Chowan river in Bertie county, N.C. , but were removed some years ago to St. Pauls Cemetery, Edenton , N.C. by the Vestry of the Parish to save their remains from the encroachment of the water.
