Biography

Matteo was born in 1853 to Maestro Saverio Abbate and Maria "Innocenzia" Montelione ^[1]. On his 27th birthday in 1880 he married his first cousin, 20-year-old Vita Abbate ^[2]. Matteo was a bricklayer by trade ^[3].
