I, Enoch Ely Adair: Born June 30, 1875, Worth Co., MO in Dry District. Moved to Pebile District at the age of 8 yrs. At the age of 17 I bought a black team of horses. This team cost $25.25 at this time.

At the age of 18 yr. I started courting Matilda Elizabeth Barber--she was 16 at the time--born July 1, 1877. We dated 6 yrs. Married May 28, 1899. Born to this union 8 children: William Elamin (Elancon?) Adair June 5_1900, Sarah Ilay Adair: Jan 17_1903. We moved to Johnson Co, bought a farm, 1904, crossed the Mo. river on a ferry boat at Lexinton, Mo

Orval Oran Adair born Dec 11_1906, stayed ther 2 yr. Sold Farm moved back to Worth Co. in the fall of 1907 and bought a Farm 1908 and Elamin and Ilay started to school.

Jessie Pearl Adair Born April 14, 1909. Lived in Worth Co. 4 yrs. We started traveling in a covered wagon, traveled over the same route to Warrensburg, Mo. Bought a colt and [gargbled] named Prince, (which was quite the "center pet" in the family. Prince loved to dance every time he heard music.) Prince was part of the team the rest of our travel, stayed 1 night at my uncle Ira Moreland. Went on to Boliver Mo., spent 3 days.

started west to Vernon Co.

Rented a farm Dec. 30_1911. Leo Newton was Born. Lived here 1 yr. Left for Booneville, Ark. Jan. 1912. We traveled through Indian Territory from Stillwell, Okla. to Van Buren, We traveled 3 days. One evening we met a tribe of Indians. We traveled till 10 o'clock that night. It was raining hard and someone offered us a tent for the night. The next town was Evansville, Ark. We turned through a town called Figure 5. We landed in Van Buren, spent 4 days. Camped at Bloomer, Ark. and landed in Booneville, Ark.

Jan. 19_1913 here we bought another Farm.

Annie Marie Adair was borned here June 3_1914, Glen Ray Adair borned Apr. 3_1917__ Died Oct. 1917 time of six months.

Borned June 24_1919__ Gwendolyn Helen Adair

We celebrated our 60th anniversay May 28_1959.

Seven living children, 32 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren deceased(?)
