Owen Adkins was born in 1822 in Floyd, Kentucky, United States.[1] His parents were Milton Adkins and Mary Coleman.Kentucky,[2] .

Owen married Fanny Lewis on 14 April 1848 in Morgan, Kentucky, United States.[3].

In the 1850 census Owen (age 27) living with wife, Fanny and one year old daughter, Mary, was in Morgan, Kentucky, United States.[4].

In the 1860 census Owen (age 38) was in District 1, Morgan, Kentucky, United States.[5]
