Biography
Laurine (Adkins) Peete is a part of US Black heritage.
Laurine was born about 1916. She was the daughter of Reuben Adkins (abt.1896-) and Bernice (Flythe) Adkins (abt.1894-1952).[1]
In the 1920 census Loraline (age 3) was the daughter of Reuben Adkins in Boykins, Southampton, Virginia, United States.[2]
In the 1930 census Laurina (age 13) was the daughter of Ruben Adkins in Boykins, Southampton, Virginia, United States.[3]
Laurine (age 20) married Curtis Peet (abt.1913-) (age 23) on 5 November 1936.[4]She married Curtis Peet in 1936. Laurine and Curtis had five children; two children died young.
In the 1940 census Laurine (age 21) was the wife of Curtis Pete in Newsoms District, Southampton, Virginia, United States.[5]
In the 1950 census Irene (age 32) was the wife of Curtis Peet in Newsoms, Southampton, Virginia, United States.[6]
Research Notes
- The New York death index shows a Laurine Peete who died in New York City 7 Sept 1963.[7] Other confirming sources have not yet been located.
