Biography

When Janet Aikman was born on 25 October 1876 in Ratho, Midlothian, her father, Matthew, was 37, and her mother, Margaret, was 36. She married Robert Landell Welsh on 12 May 1897 in Beith, Ayrshire. They had four children during their marriage. She died on 17 January 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, USA, at the age of 65, and was buried there.
