Stephen was born about 1724 and baptised in Mendlesham on 11 January 1723/4 with his twin brother John. He was the son of Stephen Aldous and Elizabeth Unknown.[1]
In about 1757, he had a relationship with Phyllis Filby, which resulted in the birth of their illegitimate daughter, Mercy Filby.[2][3]
Stephen is a legatee in his father's will written on 21 January 1765, when he was left an annuity. His father's property, in Mendlesham and Fressingfield, was bequeathed to the children of Stephen's youngest sibling, John.[4]
He passed away after 1765.
No trace of Stephen found after his appearance in his father's will. It's not clear if he married; no definite marriage found, and no obvious burial on the Suffolk Family History Society's exhaustive CD/download of Suffolk burials, covering all available parishes and municpal cemeteries in the county.
