Elisha Allen was born on July 15, 1741 in Woodbury, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony. He was the son of Ebenezer Allen and Hannah Hurlbut. (Note: Elisha's mother name on WikiTree differs from the name in the birth record which is listed as Elenor.)[1] Elisha's wife was named Tryphosa as indicated on her gravestone.[2](Note: Her last name was possibly Thomas)
Elisha served in the American Revolution as a Sergeant in Colonel Thomas Lee's regiment, Vermont Republic Militia.
Elisha died in 1814 in Milton, Chittenden, Vermont and is buried in the Mars Hollow Cemetery. See the brief biography and gravestone photo there.[3]
