Alfred was born on 20 December 1876 in Mobile, Mobile, Alabama. He was the son of James Benjamin Allen Sr. and Nancy Ann Elizabeth (Waltman) Allen.[citation needed]

Searched Ancestry, FindAGrave and Family Search, but found only one record. Also I'm not sure the parents are correct because Alfred does not appear in the household of James Benjamin Allen Sr. in the 1880 census. Needs more research - April 19, 2023. Laura W
