Biography

Albert was born in 1844. The birth was registered in the Newington district of London in the 2nd quarter of that year. The 1881 census gives his birth place as Walworth, Surrey.^[1][2][3] Other censuses name Newington (part of Walworth) as the birth place. Albert was the son of William Allingham and Jane Jackson.

In 1866 Albert sailed to New York. The passenger and immigration records give his age as 22 and his occupation as compositor.^[8][9]

On 8 August 1868 he married Eva L Smith, age 23, daughter of William H Smith and Emeline (LNAB Wear), in New York.^[10]

Divorce

He and Eva divorced in 1890.^[11]

Death

Albert died in 1924. His death was registered in the Hammersmith district of London in the 3rd quarter of that year.^[12]
