Edgar graduated Thornville High School June 1889. He then attended Heidelberg College at Tiffin OH for three years. He married Blanche Estella Bauman at Harmony Reformed Church. They lived on his parents farm two years, one year at Alpha OH, then back to the farm for three years before moving to Zwingle IA in Dec 1902, where Edgar was a rural mail carrier until 1909 when he was appointed Postmaster until 1933.
He died 30 May 1933, buried 2 Jun 1933 in
Harmony Cemetery, Zwingle, Dubuque County, Iowa, USA.[1]
