Herbert Altmann was born on 7 Jan 1928 in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. He was the son of Willie Altmann and Tallie Fritz. [1]

Herb was mentally handicapped. He helped out at the pig sale yards in Murgon before going to live in a home. It is believed that he once worked on a farm in Prenzlau. [1]

He died in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. [1]
