Biography

Gen. Andrew Jackson Alverson was a son of Archibald Alverson and Elizabeth Conn Alverson. He was born in St. Clair County, Alabama in 1845. He married Sarah Nichols, daughter of Lemuel Nichols and Evelina Wester Nichols. He served as a General in Brewster's Co. I, 18th Ala. Infantry, along with his brother and his father.
