Biography

Birth and Upbringing: Richard was born in 1866. ^[1] He was the son of Thomas Ambrose and Elizabeth Nix. Per 1871 Census he had two siblings, Edith and Thirza ^[2]
Family: At the time of his death Richard was married to Dorothy Beatrice with one child, a boy, Martin Nix Ambrose.
Occupation: During his life time, Richard was an auctioneer.
Demise: Richard died at St Annes Hospital on 21 Apr 1947, aged 81, at Salisbury, Mashonaland, Southern Rhodesia. Cause of death cited as Cerebral thrombosis. ^{[3] [4]}
Burial: Richard Ambrose was buried at Kadoma Cemetery, Kadoma^[5]
