Hartley Rude Amos was born on November 13, 1886, [1]in Northumberland, New Brunswick, Canada, his father, William, was 34 and his mother, Grace, was 21. He married Beatrice O'Donnell on 6 September 1911 [2]in New Brunswick, Canada. They had nine children in 20 years. He died on October 24, 1968, in his hometown at the age of 81[3]
