Biography

Willem was born in Stolwijk to Arije Hendriksze Ancker, and he was baptised in the Hervormde Kerk of Stolwijk on the 1st of January, 1705; the witnesses wer the father Arije and Trijntje Willems Dionijs, which is actually Willem's mother and Arije's husband. ^[1]

Willem Ariense Ancker, bachelor of Stolwijk, and Lena Classe van der Neut, bachelorette of Vlist in Polsbroek, were married in the Hervormde Kerk of Stolwijk on the 23rd of December, 1725; they were betrothed on the 7th.
Witnesses on the groom's side were his guardians (his father passed away when he was only about 2) Jan Cornelis Dionijs and Cornelis Willem Dionijs, relations on his mother's side of the family.
The witness on the bride's side was the bride's stepfather Glim Barentse of Polsbroek, who mt have married Lena's mother after her father died. ^[2]

Willem died in Stolwijk, and was buried in the Hervormde Kerk there on the 30th of July, 1764. ^[3]
