Biography

Maria Catarina was born in 1819^[1] as the daughter of the farmer Anders Pehrsson and his wife Greta Östensdotter in Bodan, Lövånger parish.^[2][3][4] In 1838 she started working, first a year for a neighbor in Bodan,^[5] then two years at Gammelbyn^[6] and from 1841 at various farms in Vebomark;^[7][8][9] during this time her birth month was mistakenly copied as September (9) instead of July (7), an error that would persist throughout the later records. In 1843^[10] she married fältjägaren Olof Silver, and lived with him in Vebomark N:o 13^{[11][12][13][14][15]} until she passed away in 1878.^[16]

Maria Catharina and Olof had five children together; shortly before the wedding she also had a son who seems likely to be his as well.
