Obituary - "As the sun was sinking behind the western hills on Saturday evening, May 9, 1908, the spirit of Elizabeth Anderson Teague gently rose from the erath to find its home eternal at Gods right hand. "Mrs. Teague's long, useful life had its birth in the southern part of Montgomery county, Ohio, July 20, 1828. While yet a babe in her mothers arms her parents, John and Margaret Anderson, removed ot the northern side of the county and located near Vandalia where they spent their remaining years. They soon became identified with the Sugar Grove Christian church in membership, and it was natural and easy for Elizabeth to follow in their footstep. In early life she confessed Christ as her Savior under the labors of Revs. Reader and Lynn and confessed her Lord in baptism soon afterward.

"On July 28, 1870 she was united in marriage with John Teague and soon after their marriage they both transferred their membership to the Christian church at West Milton. Ten years ago the husband passed away. When she entered the home of JOhn Teague there were five motherless children whom she cared for with the tenderness and love of a mother.

"The death of Mrs. Teague emphasizes the fact that her father's family is passing away one by one. Only four of the ten children now survive: William Anderson, of Vandalia; I.J. Anderson, of West Milton; O.P. Anderson of London and Joseph Anderson, of Columbus.

"The deceased was noted for her hosptiality and kindness and the hearty welcome was extend to all who came to her home endeared all to her.

"Mrs. Teague's last illness extended over a period of many months. She had made all arrangements for the funeral services and as a consequence the following minsters occupied seats in the pulpit: O.P. Furnas, Enos Pemberton, A.W.Hook, Jos. Pmeberton, J.A. Wollam, and R. Orville Matthews, of West Milton, and Rev. G.R. Mell of Delphos. The former delivered the sermon and was followed by others with a few remarks. Interment was made at Polk."
