William first married Marie Hilda Moritz in Wilmington, DE on 15 Dec 1918.[5] She abandoned him and he filed for divorce in Kentucky in 1920.[6]
The second marriage was to Lillian Marion Stone on 2 Jul 1923.[7] Lillian, or Marion as preferred, was also previously married.
Military
Howard had entered the service in 1920 or earlier. He was a Chief Warrant Officer in the Army ih the Philippines when the Japanese took over. He was part of the Bataan Death March that started 9 April 1942 and either died on the march or in the POW camp shortly after.[8] He is buried in the Philippines.[9]
